Colour Therapy is a non-intrusive complementary therapy which can be traced back to Ancient Egypt where it was recorded as early as 1550BC.
It was first recorded as being used in China 2000 years ago and has been used for centuries in India (where it is still practised today, and which forms the basis of modern day Colour Energy Therapy and Ayurveda medicine). There are also records of it being common in Europe from the ancient Greeks & Romans, right through to Christian Churches (with their stained-glass windows) right up until the end of the seventeenth century.
It can help to re-balance and/or stimulate the energy centres within your body which are called Chakras. Applying the appropriate colours benefits your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Colour is absorbed by the skin, eyes and magnetic energy field (your Aura) and each colour in the spectrum resonates with individual cells and organs within your body. There are a number of ways to receive its healing properties including hands-on non-invasive energy healing, coloured silks, coloured light, crystals, diet, solarized water, colour mediation and breathing exercises.
Colour Therapy practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not offer any diagnosis or prognosis, but many people benefit from this holistic therapy.
